Installing, and the warning you may see

The Mac build is signed and notarized by Apple, so it opens normally. The Windows installer isn't code-signed with Microsoft's paid certificate yet, so Windows will warn you the first time. The warning means "this developer hasn't been verified", not that anything harmful was found. Here's exactly what to do; Windows code-signing is on our roadmap, so these steps can go away.

On a Mac

The app is notarized by Apple. Open the downloaded file, drag VoxClip into Applications, and open it. There's no security warning to clear.

On Windows

  1. Run the installer. SmartScreen shows "Windows protected your PC".
  2. Click More info, then Run anyway.
  3. Follow the installer. That's it.

After installing

Open VoxClip, grant the two permissions it asks for (Accessibility for pasting; the microphone for dictation, only while you hold the hotkey), and copy something. It's in your Timeline. That's the product.
